About
Hi, I’m Ger.
My interest in the body started from personal experience. In my early 20s I had two knee surgeries, and I also experienced nerve damage in my back. That period of my life led me to look deeper into nutrition, body movement, and recovery, because I wanted to understand what the body actually needs to heal.
I also spent time seeing different physios and practitioners as part of my own recovery, and it made me more aware of how much the right hands on work can help, not just physically, but mentally too.
At one point, I did a Thai massage course with a Thai teacher. At the time it was purely exploratory. Something I wanted to learn for personal knowledge, not as a profession. A few years later, I also completed a Lomi Lomi course. I’ve always had a strong interest in learning about the body, how it holds pain and tension, and how it can shift when it’s supported properly.
Fast forward to later in life, I was am still studying psychotherapy and counselling, doing a lot of personal development, and really questioning what I actually enjoy and value in life. Deep down, I think I was afraid to fully commit to bodywork as a career especially because I was already self-employed for a long time.
For over 25 years, I worked in wedding videography, and I built stability through that. But something shifted in me, and I decided to finally work in the massage industry. I honestly told myself: “I’ll give it a week and see.”
That first week was extremely tough because of the physicality of the job… but I enjoyed it so much more than I expected. I loved the work, I loved the learning that came with it, and I loved seeing first hand how different bodies present with different issues while I Listen to clients, understanding what they need, and seeing real life positive results.
I’m still working in the same massage job I started in, and now I’m also building my own private practice with Well Body.... the best of both worlds.
So if you’ve read this far , thank you… and I hope to see you soon.
My methods are a mix of:
Thai Massage • Lomi Lomi • Trigger Point • Deep Tissue • Stretching
But the most important part of my treatment style is simple:
I listen to what you need, and I tailor the session to your body on the day.
